Renting a bicycle on Christmas Eve in Quito, Ecuador
This time my friends from California were visiting us for Christmas and in the afternoon on the 24th of December my friend Gordan says:
" Hey Patrick, I would love to join you with your bicycle...is there any possibility to rent one ?" I said: Sure, let me see..."
So I left with my own bicycle in order to rent a second bike for my friend.
I went to the closest bicycle store and asked:
"Do you rent bicycles ?"
and the salesclerk said: "No we don't."
So I went to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th store. The same answer:
"No we don't."
Apparently the closest rental bike store was 20km away...:(
I said to myself: "...hmmm shell I give up or is there any alternative ?"
Then suddenly while riding on the streets of Quito I saw this bicycle leaning next to the entrance of a restaurant called....
